Topic: Building Cross Platform Web Apps in Five Painful Steps.
Summary: Building for cross platform has moved beyond being an option, and on to being a necessity. Studies show that developers are increasing turning to the web to build applications that run across platforms but it seems choosing "web" is only the first of a very many decision. NativeScript, TypeScript, React.js, React native, Angular, Ionic, SPA, PWA, and the list goes on. In this light hearted yet informative session, we'll discuss the woes of being a developer working with web technologies, and some of the solutions to reaching all your users with a single cross platform app.
The Web strikes back with Progressive Web Apps, a new approach that let us create Apps from Web technologies with great performance, offline support, installation and push notification abilities. We will introduce PWAs, the APIs involved and the secrets that nobody tells you about. Are they ready to replace native apps? If you are a native iOS or Android developer, should you be looking at PWA technologies?
During the session, we will see live examples of apps and we will cover how we can create them including the APIs that will let the user install, use the app offline and receive push notifications without using native code or distributing through an App Store.
During the talk, we will cover the secrets that we need to know to create a successful experience, such as challenges, new APIS, and hacks that can enhance the user experience while doing Progressive Web Apps.

Topic: «Seamless staging»
Point that the projects where we involved in, have no separate staging server where QA-engineers are able to check everything before real users see result. This approach, for all its apparent shortcomings, shows itself to be extremely effective. It is able to make releases as often as possible, to avoid common problems related to rollback process. Of course, this requires sacrifice and serious preparation, which will be discussed in the speech.
Topic: Communication with Clients: How to be Effective
Jeff will share his take on the specifics of working with foreign customers. Conference attendees will learn 10 rules of effective communication that will help them to build a long-term partnership with clients.

For the end of the speech, participants will know how to communicate with clients to demonstrate their team's professionalism and build a trustworthy relationship with the customers.
During my speech we will go over cases of companies that are just starting to launch innovative products as well as of those successfully doing so. We will go through and analyze major problems they encounter:
Employees being busy with their jobs, ideas die before seeing the light of the day
Employees spend money on projects but results are still to be seen
Employees don't have product development know how and use company's budget to develop mechanisms that have already been developed
Team leaders don't take responsibility for the project and the product and wait to be told what to do
We will find ways of solving those problems, will understand how much money and time it takes to resolve them. Will consider options of launching new products (Purchasing (M&A), developing together, developing internally (R&D))
By the end of this workshop participants will have a clear idea of how to most effectively build a system for launching innovative products, what budgets are required for it and what results one can expect.
