Topic: Building Cross Platform Web Apps
Summary: Building for cross platform has moved beyond being an option, and on to being a necessity. Studies show that developers are increasing turning to the web to build applications that run across platforms but it seems choosing "web" is only the first of a very many decision. NativeScript, TypeScript, React.js, React native, Angular, Ionic, SPA, PWA, and the list goes on. In this light hearted yet informative session, we'll discuss the woes of being a developer working with web technologies, and some of the solutions to reaching all your users with a single cross platform app.

Harnessing the Creative Genius Within Your Organisation
"I haven't failed, I just found 10,000 ways that won't work" A methodology that is at the heart of General Electrics' strategy of improvement and innovation is Lean Six Sigma, a framework that builds success and growth by eliminating waste and reducing errors in a business process. For an inventor in the last century, or for today's businesses success is never an accident. Can one methodology really create an organisation of incredible people? Being a creative genius doesn't stem from knowing all the answers, but from asking the right questions. Lean Six Sigma encourages us to question absolutely everything we know about our business. At the conference Kiran will explore this framework and concept in greater depth. Kiran will also look at the commonalities between some of the great feats of creative genius in history and modern-day society and at how their philosophies aligned with the Lean Six Sigma principles. She presents ways in which businesses can create an organisation that promotes targeted innovation and embraces change using Lean Six Sigma principles and demonstrates some simple and effective tools that can be applied and understood by anybody in an organisation.

Exec managers are just normal people, subject to the stresses of the workplace like everyone else and they definitely want their business to grow. There is no single way to guarantee engagement from senior executives and while they might be supportive of your project today the situation could quickly change if the business environment changes.

Topic: «Seamless staging»
Point that the projects where we involved in, have no separate staging server where QA-engineers are able to check everything before real users see result. This approach, for all its apparent shortcomings, shows itself to be extremely effective. It is able to make releases as often as possible, to avoid common problems related to rollback process. Of course, this requires sacrifice and serious preparation, which will be discussed in the speech.
Topic: Communication with Clients: How to be Effective
Jeff will share his take on the specifics of working with foreign customers. Conference attendees will learn 10 rules of effective communication that will help them to build a long-term partnership with clients.

For the end of the speech, participants will know how to communicate with clients to demonstrate their team's professionalism and build a trustworthy relationship with the customers.
During my speech we will go over cases of companies that are just starting to launch innovative products as well as of those successfully doing so. We will go through and analyze major problems they encounter:
Employees being busy with their jobs, ideas die before seeing the light of the day
Employees spend money on projects but results are still to be seen
Employees don't have product development know how and use company's budget to develop mechanisms that have already been developed
Team leaders don't take responsibility for the project and the product and wait to be told what to do
We will find ways of solving those problems, will understand how much money and time it takes to resolve them. Will consider options of launching new products (Purchasing (M&A), developing together, developing internally (R&D))
By the end of this workshop participants will have a clear idea of how to most effectively build a system for launching innovative products, what budgets are required for it and what results one can expect.
