Apurve is leading the product for BookingLokal.com - a Booking.com project created for developing markets. He runs teams in three regions and is in charge of product development strategy and vision at his department.
The speaker will talk about "Localisation of Strategy!" This talk is a story about how a team of 5 (from different countries) based out of Amsterdam built and launched a new product for the Indonesia market. This differs from a typical team at a big company because this was set up like a startup under constant pressure to perform or perish. It covers how the strategy for this product evolved over time and lays down certain Do's and Don'ts when you are planning to enter a new and unknown market.

Rafael Alves will speak at the Customer Retention conference.
Rafael started his career as a developer. Worked at Walmart.com (e-commerce) as a Product Owner and was responsible for the member area, self help, ratings and reviews. For the last 4 years he has been working at Trivago as a Product Manager for the mobile apps, where he was one of the drivers of a complete new app project, released in 2018. At his free time develops his own apps and has an app with more than 2 million downloads on the store. Rafael will talk on "Creating Moments to drive retention"
Theses: Your app needs to create moments and micro-interactions with the users. For that you need to know your audience, and your app needs to be there for a specific purpose not only when the user directly interacts with it, but also creating moments (even when not expected) when users are ready to engage.
Rafael will explore the user context as finding the right time to engage. For example: location context, previous interactions and usage of machine learning for improving conversion and retention.
