ITEM: What has been your greatest professional challenge?
VS: At the end of 2011 AMC Bridge had lost a key customer who has been bringing us around 40% of the revenue. We managed to keep almost the whole team still together, improve the company structure and better manage processes which helped us to drastically increase our sales. At the end of the day, the loss that seemed fatal made us only stronger and a more professional team.

ITEM: What are peculiarities of business operations in an outsourcing software development company?
VS: It's all about the service, and that's what you should think about first. While you are at the software outsourcing business, you are not about delivering a product, but rather assist your customer to succeed in his challenges. This way you help making each client unique.

ITEM: What input is critical to derive the software cost estimate?
VS: You need to clearly understand customer expectations including user stories, UI requirements, time to market, etc., or at least try to☺

ITEM: What is the poor practice in project estimation process?
VS: Agree to all what your sales people are pushing you to ☺ Your amount of sales will probably increase, but most of the businesses try to maximize company profit rather than sales commissions.
